St. Louis city cares about its residents and wants them to be safe in their home. That’s why the Community Development Administration (CDA) currently oversees the Healthy Home Repair Program to provide home repair assistance for low to moderate income households.
This program is available for homeowners in the city of St. Louis. In order to be eligible for home repair assistance, there are a few requirements and restrictions that will be discussed with you during your intake process. However, a few of these requirements include:
Having owned and lived in your home for at least two years.
Having a clear title
Being current on your real estate taxes
Being current on their mortgage payments and having homeowner’s insurance
This program relies on federal funding, which is why eligibility is limited to low and moderate income households (less than 80% of the Area Median Income). Click here for current income limits. There are a number of homeowners already on the Home Repair Program waiting list. Therefore, be prepared for a considerable delay before you may be able to participate.
